“They started meeting with us at the initial architectural stage and carried our project through to a magnificent completion. My husband and I were continually impressed by their combined creativity, professional contacts, experience and overall willingness to answer questions and solve any problems. As the homeowner, we loved working with them, but our builders did as well. Our new home is not only beautiful, it is warm and livable.” Mr. and Mrs. Steve Holditch, Bryan, Texas

David Deiss graduated from Texas A&M University’s College of Architecture in 1992 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design.

Prior to joining the Collaborative Design Group team, his work experiences include CAD production and detail development, and he has served as both Senior Designer and Estimating Manager for a national top 30 home builder where he initially met Mark Bufalini. David and Mark have collaborated on many projects together and have enjoyed the team work.

David has been with Collaborative Design Group since 2008, and works with both the Architecture and Interior Design departments producing design sketches and construction documents, and his 20 years of experience in residential construction allow him to act as a liaison to builders, engineers and homeowners.

David enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hunting, surfing and going to exotic car shows.  He is actively involved with his church, and has been involved with kid’s ministries for many years.

David, our “Aggie”, is the comic relief in the office.  You may catch him humming, singing, whistling or plotting his next practical joke.

“Forests were the first glimpses of God and in forests men grasped their first idea of architecture.”
― James C. Snyder

Kenneth Callison graduated from Texas Tech University and received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honors.

He traveled to Japan and studied both traditional and modern architecture and while there was able to do the night hike to watch the sunrise at the top of Mt. Fuji.  After College Kenneth moved to Colorado and worked on many different projects including: hospitals, higher education, multi-family and various other large commercial projects. In school he had always enjoyed working on residential designs, but didn’t have the opportunity while in Colorado.  After moving back to Texas he began to follow his passion to work on high-end custom residential projects.

His skills include 3D design work and he is proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit.  Along with Architecture, he has a real estate certificate and has been involved in real estate investment and property management.

Kenneth volunteers when able, working in California for the church, in Colorado at a hospital and was a Senior Partner with Partners Mentoring Youth.  Kenneth enjoys spending time with his family and friends.  He comes from a large family and enjoys hearing about the exploits of his nieces and nephews.

Architecture is not simply a job. It is a lifestyle. It is a way of looking at the world. It is a verb. It is a constant exploration where one looks for and finds inspiration in the world around them, and then applies that inspiration to create something completely new. And that thing we create is beautiful and makes a difference in the world.   J. Brantley Hightower

Adam Aviles

Project Architect

Adam is a Graduate from Carnegie Mellon University and earned a Bachelor of Architecture in 2011. During the undergraduate program, he excelled in hand fabrication – including furniture design, model–making, sculpture, and hand-drafting.

After moving from Pennsylvania back home to Houston, he began working on a variety of custom residential projects ranging from large scale new home construction to small renovations. Prior to joining Collaborative Design Group, he worked as an Architectural Designer and Project Manager for an international stone supplier.

Collaborative is glad to utilize Adam’s amazing skills in 3D modeling, photo-realistic rendering, as well as the graphic and web design.

Adam would one day like to blend his passion in furniture and website design and create his own line of custom furniture.

When not working, Adam enjoys spending time with his two adorable dogs, cooking, and tending his garden. Being a movie buff, watching marathons on Netflix and seeing the latest movies goes without saying!

“As an architect you design for the present, with awareness of the past, for a future which is essentially unknown.” -Norman Foster
